The history behind Lowell and Mattie
------------------------------------

Lowell Logrude was the son of an army General who took a liking to heroic adventurers. Of them, he favored Bokenzara, who was a model of heroics to him. It was because Bokenzara saved his life when he was going to killed by monster when he wandered out past the citygrounds. With Bokenzara was his adopted daughter, Mattie. Lowell developed a crush on the girl. Seeing this, Bokenzara talked to Mattie and gotten the two to play together. Mattie was two years older than him.

When Lowell was 11, Bokenzara and Mattie had to leave to tend to a small village at a distance, but they said that they would come back. Ten days later, while Lowell waited, he was given news that everyone in that village was turned into stone by a strange blast of light. Escorted by the soldiers, Lowell went to see the village himself and was shocked. His fears were confirmed, Mattie was amongst the villagers turned to stone. He made a promise to himself to try to find a way to bring her and the village back. He took her sword for keepsake, as if she would be by his side.

It wasn't until a month later that Lowell saw that Bokenzara waited outside to challenge his father. At the time, Lowell held a huge respect towards his father. It was until he witnessed his father ordering his men to kill Bokenzara, taking him out like a dog, that the respect was shattered.

Growing up with a grudge against his father, he commissioned to the military under a different sector. Because he shown great promise, they put him in charge of an elite Special Forces called 'Schwarz Klinge'. As he grew up, he always placed flowers next to the petrified Mattie, renewing his promise to free her and the village. He owed it to Bokenzara and her. He even accomplished getting the body of Bokenzara and putting it to a proper memorial that he deserved. His last promise was to make his father pay, as he felt someting was not right about the village turning into stone by a strange light.

Now 19 years old, Lowell had been antagonizing a group of adventurers as they've been interfering with the military's goals. However, it was until one day that he discovered the truth of the village: His father, General Rogrude, was responsible when he tested out a Lost Logia, Urteil, at the village. He managed to not only obtain a case for the General's court martial but he developed a cure for Mattie and the village. He gave it to the adventurers that he had antagonized to give it to the villagers and he departed.

While the adventurers cured everyone in the village, including Mattie, Lowell approached his father's grounds with the soldiers, issuing that the higher-ups have granted his detaining and court-martial for his crimes. Killing the soldiers, General Rogrude challenged his son, who faught him to the bitter end in an epic battle.

When the adventurers and Mattie come in, Lowell took one moment to see Mattie's presence, and it was the moment that General Rogrude needed before he plunged his sword into his son's heart.

...And this is the scene of Lowell Rogrude's death.
