"Art" by definition (Yes, I know the definition is "different for each person", but the ~widely accepted definition) is "[The (un)intentional arrangement of elements in such a way as to elicit feelings and/or emotions.]"
So... seeing how the aforementioned elicits (often powerful, even primal) emotions, feelings, urges, etc.,
by the very definition, "ero-~ART~" is confirmed as legitimate art. ^w^
Now it's just up to each of us to determine if we can (for whatever reason) appreciate the art OR appreciate the absence of it. If we chose to appreciate it like the Mona Lisa, or avert our eyes from it in reverence to it's stunningness ~OR~ it's depravity, we reaffirm that it is art because ot causes these feelings and subsequent actions.
Just a piece of brain candy to think about I guess ^//w//^
